Before Friday night’s game the Whitecaps had a dinner for season ticket holders.  It was also  “Tiger Friday” and former Tiger and coach Dick Tracewski was supposed to be there.  He was going spend time with us before he went to go do other “Tiger Friday” stuff.  Well he didn’t make it.  Earlier in the week I had bought a card of his from 1969 and was looking forward to getting it signed.  I was a little disappointed.  So, as the dinner was coming to an end the ‘Caps front office people held a raffle.  I ended up winning this garden gnome.  I was actually quite happy to win something.  I guess that was my consolation prize for my missed autograph.

Someone suggested that I glue it to the hood of the Whitecaps Volkswagen van as a hood ornament…
